Lily's Third Birthday

Lily's birthday party was on July 5th so that all of her little friends could attend. We naturally felt like we needed to celebrate the actual day in our own little family way, so this is a brief account of the day. Mama had to go to work, but not before she made a special day for Lily to put on her calendar.




With Mama stuck in Kingsport for the better part of the day, Daddy and Lily thought it would be a good idea to try out Nana and Papa's new Slip'n Slide. As usual with backyard water sports, its difficult to tell if Daddy or Lily enjoyed it more (but that's a good problem to have!)





Gran left a special present to be opened on the actual day, and Lily loved it!





We decided to have dinner out as a family at one of Lily's favorite restaurants....Cracker Barrel (at least its not McDonalds.) We enjoyed some delicious breakfast for dinner!





And perhaps appropriately, Lily's birthday extravaganza was finished off with a trip to the ice cream shop.
