New Daddies Need Showers Too!

Who said Friday the 13th is bad luck? We certainly paid no mind and had a great first baby shower. Thanks for all the hard work Valerie! This was a co-ed shower, boys allowed! A bunch of our QCOM friends gathered to celebrate the coming of two new little ones. Elizabeth (pictured below) and her husband Brent are expecting a baby boy any day now!! (Due date May 5th) It was so fitting to share this shower with Elizabeth. She was on my Ob/Gyn rotation with me during my first trimester, when no one else knew my new status. She was such a support for me, covertly bringing me Preggie Pops and having crackers on hand. I'll always be grateful, thanks Elizabeth!

Professor Dave!

Much to our delight, Dave has been offered (and accepted) a tenured-track position in the business department of Milligan College. He will begin his adventure this coming Fall and I don't think I've seen him quite this excited! We all are, even the boys, as this means a little more schedule flexibility and most likely more time to play catch and frolic.

With this position, Dave becomes one more Harkey family member to participate in the Milligan tradition. I know I speak for all of us to say how proud of you we are!
