July: A month full of Birthdays!!

Over the river and through the woods....

to Nana and Papa's house we go!  The girls, boys and I took a short trip up to northern Virginia last weekend to visit with Nana and Papa.  Unfortunately Emily had to work and couldn't make the trip....we missed her bunches.  But that didn't stop the girls from having a grand time as they played games with Nana, Papa, Jackson and Grier.  In addition to Go Fish and Blokus, the playdough, matchbox cars and dolls were as popular as ever.  We even got to go to the neighborhood pool a few times and have Lily show off her mad swimming skills.  CJ has the bug and I am sure she will have her first lessons before long.

Campbell Family Reunion

Gina and Greg graciously hosted the Campbell Family Reunion this year.  It has become a tradition that started with family get-togethers during the Christmas season.  Over the years, scheduling during that time of year has become difficult so we have moved to the sun and fun of summer.  This year, we really took advantage of the season by having a swimming pool and slip n' slide.  Here are some pictures of the fun.

 

As an aside, it is worth noting that Uncle Snap is a slip n' slide genius.....he got some dish soap and kept it flowing so that the slide was extra slippy!

Emerald Isle

The girls and I were fortunate enough to have spent the last week at the beach with Nana & Papa, Uncle Dave and Aunt Patsy, Karen, Jody, Payton, Carly, Chip, Ashley, Jackson and Grier....yes, it was a full house! And it was also a fun house, we had a bunch of fun hanging out with the Waugh crew. New toys!...well, new to CJ at least...
